What is the SM27 designed for?
It's ideal for professional vocal and instrument use, including solo and choral vocals, acoustic guitar, string instruments, cymbals, woodwind, and saxophone. The latest addition to the SM family is equally at home on stage and in the studio.
What are the features of the SM27?
The SM27 has a flat, neutral frequency response and very low self-noise for natural sound reproduction. It includes a 3-position low-frequency filter to help reduce background noise and counteract proximity effect, as well as a switchable 15 dB pad for added versatility.
Characteristics
Large, very thin, lightweight, 24-karat gold-plated Mylar® diaphragm with a narrow cardioid pattern.
Flat, neutral frequency response and low self-noise for natural reproduction.
Class A transformerless preamp for extremely fast and transparent transient response with no crossover distortion.
3-position low-frequency filter helps reduce background noise and counteract proximity effect.
Switchable 15 dB attenuator for greater versatility of sound pressure levels.
Internal anti-shock system that reduces the transmission of microphone handling noise.
Three-layer grille to reduce wind and breathing noise.
Includes stand adapter and zippered case.
