World Class Sounds
The OCTAPAD SPD-30 includes over 600 drum and percussion sounds from around the world, suitable for every musical style. Arranged in 50 kits, the sounds are dynamic and expressive, spanning the range from traditional to contemporary to exotic. You can customize the sounds with the onboard controls to modify tuning, damping, attack, pitch, sweep, and much more. You can also layer two sounds per sensor to create an infinite number of sound combinations.
Multi-Effects
Based on Roland's world-leading technology, the SPD-30BK's multi-effects processor will take your performance to the next level. It features 30 types of onboard multi-effects, plus an EQ, limiter, and seven Ambience modes.
Phrase Loop Function
The SPD-30BK's Phrase Loop function is a powerful creative tool that lets you quickly record your performance in real time. You can overdub up to three layers per phrase and store 50 phrases internally. Connect the optional footswitches for hassle-free recording and hands-free operation. You can also save your phrase data to the optional USB flash drive.
Advanced Shooting Technology
The OCTAPAD SPD-30BK benefits from the latest in V-Drums trigger technology. Each pad is a separate, isolated unit, providing the highest level of sensitivity with complete crosstalk rejection. In addition, you can connect four dual-sensor pads plus a hi-hat controller (compatible with Roland FD-8, VH-11) to create a mini drum set with external sensors (Roland KD-/PD-/PDX-/CY-series). The OCTAPAD SPD-30BK is also compatible with the RT series of acoustic triggers for even more flexibility.
