The high-output 15MB700 midbass transducer features exceptional efficiency and is primarily designed for compact 2-way SLR systems (75 lt), 3-way systems, and horn-loaded applications. It is combined with high sensitivity (103 dB 1W/1m) and high power handling capabilities. The soft-textured, curvilinear paper cone, combined with a viscous-damped multi-coil suspension, provides excellent damping and excursion control.

The 75mm diameter voice coil features the same technology that powers our high-end 4" voice coil models. It employs Interleaved Sandwich (ISV) coil technology, in which a heavy-duty fiberglass coil carries windings on both the outer and inner surfaces to achieve a mass-balanced coil. This results in an extremely linear motor assembly with a reduced tendency for eccentric behavior under hard driving.

The low voice coil inductance results in improved transient response. Excellent heat dissipation has been achieved by incorporating air channels into the basket design, between the basket and the top plate. Maximum flux concentration and force factor in the air gap are ensured by the unique shape and design of the top and back plates, which have been designed using our magnetic flux FEA CAD resource. Due to the increasing use of audio systems at outdoor events, the ability to operate in adverse weather conditions or in areas of high humidity is a key feature of the 15MB700 loudspeaker. This has been achieved through the unique cone and magnet plate treatment process, which allows the speaker to resist corrosion and the cone to be water-repellent.
