The XPS-10 is packed with over 1,500 professional-quality sounds, many of them derived from the immensely popular JUNO-Di. It carries a vast selection of ready-to-play sounds covering every musical style, putting acoustic and electric pianos, organs, strings, brass, wind instruments, synthesizers, and other essential instruments at your disposal. In addition, it features sounds from Roland's classic legacy of past productions, including those from legendary products such as the D-50, XP-60/-30/-10, SRX Expansion Cards, and more. In addition to carrying many of the most sought-after ethnic instrument sounds and authentic local sounds from around the world, the XPS-10 is the ideal system for performing music styles specific to your region.

Import Your Own Custom Sounds
With the expandable XPS-10, you’re not limited to using just the internal sounds—via USB memory, you can integrate your own sounds into the XPS-10’s playable sound system. Using the Sample Import function, a WAV file stored on USB memory can be easily mapped to the XPS-10’s keys, with all appropriate tones automatically assigned. Multiple audio files can be imported and stored on the XPS-10 (up to a total of 32 MB), for use in Patch or Performance modes, just like the onboard Tones. This offers a great way to customize the XPS-10 with your favorite sounds and the unique sounds of local instruments.

Enhance Your Presentations with Audio Pads
The XPS-10’s panel features six Audio Pads for playing WAV, AIFF, and MP3 audio files during your performance. Simply connect a USB flash drive containing your favorite backing tracks, loops, and sound effects to the XPS-10 and trigger them as desired from the six pads. Loop start/end points can be set for WAV and AIFF files, allowing them to play continuously by pressing the Loop button. By organizing your audio files into groups of six from your computer before copying them to the USB flash drive, you can assign them all at once to all six pads for use in different Songs or Sets. Additionally, the Audio Pads can be used to play the XPS-10’s onboard rhythm selection, providing convenient backing tracks for practicing, jamming, and performing.

Intuitive Interface for On-Stage Expression
Designed for live performance, the XPS-10's easy operation lets you focus on the music. Sounds are organized into logical categories for quick selection, and your favorites can be assigned to dedicated buttons for rapid recall. The XPS-10 makes it easy to layer two sounds together to play simultaneously, or split the keys to play two different sounds at the top and bottom of the keys, respectively—for example, bass with the left hand and piano or strings with the right hand. The Sound Modify sliders provide instant access to essential parameters such as cutoff, resonance, attack, and release, making it easy to modulate the shape of your sound on the fly. Sliders also adjust the levels of the layered and split sounds, as well as the reverb, chorus, and Audio Pad effects.

Customize it with User Scales
The XPS-10 includes a User Scale function, enabling customization of the keyboard's playable tuning to your liking. Each note in the scale can be individually adjusted in one-cent increments, providing the microtuning control essential to many ethnic musical styles. Meanwhile, user scales can be quickly created in quarter-note steps (+/- 50 cents) by holding down the button while pressing the desired key. Up to nine different user scales can be stored for easy access during performance.

Mobile and Easy to Transport
