What is the BLX188/CVL designed for?
The Shure BLX188/CVL is a cost-effective wireless lavalier microphone system for two presenters, teachers, or lecturers, delivering quality sound, simple setup, and reliable performance right out of the box. It includes the compact and lightweight BLX88 dual-channel tabletop receiver with internal antennas, ideal for portable use.

The BLX188/CVL also includes two CVL cardioid lavalier microphones with clips and windscreens and two BLX1 bodypack transmitters. The receiver features one-touch QuickScan frequency selection to quickly scan 123 available frequencies and locate a clean RF channel in the event of interference. The system provides up to 14 hours of continuous use on two AA batteries per transmitter, at a range of up to 300 feet. Up to 12 microphone channels can operate simultaneously on each frequency band.

This optimized system is ideal for hands-free calling in small venues, wedding halls, and places of worship, as well as conference, educational, and corporate settings.

Low Visibility Lavalier Microphone:

CVL Centraverse lavalier condenser microphones are designed for low-visibility and clear vocal reproduction. The microphones feature cardioid polar patterns that help reject unwanted noise, Commshield RF filtering to minimize RF interference from nearby smartphones, and a tailored frequency response optimized for speech intelligibility.

Pocket transmitter:

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitters offer an ergonomic, lightweight design that is comfortable for presenters to use. Group and channel select buttons allow for quick and easy frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a 4-pin TA4M input connector.
