So, we thought, why not go straight to the source and collaborate with the best? We're proud that the IMPULSE IR LOADER comes pre-loaded with 12 of Celestion's finest official digital IRs, carefully selected from what we believe to be the best IRs on the market. You'll find these IR wonders in slots 1-12. Once you've worked your way through the 12 included, we suggest you visit Celestion to explore even more of their digital IRs. Here at TC Electronic, we love a powerful combo, half-stack, or full-stack as much as the next guitarist. But we also know there are gigs where such a setup simply isn't practical. So, in slots 13-20 of the IMPULSE IR LOADER, we've added 8 IRs from the TC Electronic Pedal Platform. This means it's DI-ready, so you can play without bringing your amp and cabinet. We created these IRs using both an amp and cabinet to give you that unique sound through a PA system or at home when recording directly through an audio interface. Whatever the case, be sure to place the IMPULSE IR LOADER after your drive pedals in your signal chain to transform your pedalboard into a DI-ready guitar rig. Does your acoustic guitar sound amazing running a piezo pickup through a PA system? We're guessing the answer is somewhere between maybe and no. Pop the IMPULSE IR LOADER with pre-loaded acoustic guitar IRs into slots 21-25. Simply place it at the front of your pedal chain and load one of these acoustic IRs to take your piezo from boring to full-on. The footswitch can operate in two different modes. Use A/B mode to toggle between two preset IRs. For example, you can have your favorite IR speaker for a clean tone loaded as A and another for overdrive/distortion loaded as B for quick and effortless speaker changes. If you prefer to use the IMPULSE IR LOADER as a traditional effects pedal, you can set it to true bypass mode and simply push it in or out when you press the footswitch. True bypass switching ensures it can have a permanent home on your pedalboard without affecting your tone when not in use. To toggle between the two modes on the fly during a show, simply press and hold the footswitch for a few seconds. Just because the IMPULSE IR LOADER has a display doesn't mean you have to struggle with layers of submenus. Instead, it gives you an excellent overview at a glance, while the controls remain simple and intuitive, as they should be. The single knob adjusts the output level, and small buttons let you quickly navigate through the previous and next IRs stored in the bank. That's it. We want you to play guitar instead of getting lost in menus. You’re probably familiar with that hilarious Spinal Tap quote: “But this one goes to 11.” Well, we’ll top that and then some. The IMPULSE IR Loader is ready to support IRs up to 200ms in length, and 200 is definitely way more than 11. In short, the longer the IR, the more detail flows your way, giving you cabinet, amp, and acoustic IRs that resemble the real deal with unparalleled punch. As a finishing touch, you can access a globally compensating EQ with low shelf and low-frequency filters for easy and natural integration with your various setups. It may sound like a small thing, but it’s a minuscule detail with a monumental impact. As you’d expect, we opted to keep this simple and easy.
