Flexible quick setup, full specifications
Transporting, unloading, and setting up a sound amplification system in a venue can be one of the most laborious tasks for sound engineers. Not so with the DM3, which requires less space and time for setup and physical assembly thanks to flexible connections, QuickPro Presets, Editor, and StageMix software, and Dante compatibility (DM3 model only), which considerably simplifies system setup and configuration time. Combined with 6 mixers, 2 matrix mixers, and 2 effects processors, the DM3 is a powerful, compact, and robust console that you can take anywhere.
Lightweight design, supreme portability
Thanks to precise structural design and material selection, the DM3 combines a lightweight console weighing just 6.5 kg with a robust enclosure that can withstand the rigors of touring.
Effects to enhance the creativity of sound engineers
The DM3 comes equipped with two high-quality multi-effects processors with eighteen types of high-level effects, including REV HD and REV R3—a first for Yamaha mixing consoles—giving sound engineers the freedom to create sounds that accurately reflect their own sonic sensibilities.
QuickPro Presets™ for quick setup with professional sound
Yamaha's R&D team worked with respected engineers and top-tier manufacturers such as Audio-Technica, FitEar, Sennheiser, Shure, Ultimate Ears, and Westone Laboratories to develop a selection of QuickPro Presets™ for a wide range of microphones and output equipment. With these handy presets, even a novice engineer can achieve a near-ideal sound, and experienced engineers will appreciate the significant time savings they offer. We prepared over 200 presets for input channels, covering everything from vocals to drums, precisely tuned using a wide range of real microphones and instruments. For output channels, we developed presets for a variety of speaker systems and in-ear monitors like the Ultimate Ears, with many variations to suit different environments and room sizes. All of these can be used as-is when time is short, yet are excellent starting points for making detailed manual adjustments. Configurations created with presets or from scratch can be saved as additional presets.
Scene presets for your apps
Scene presets are available for many occasions where the DM3 is used for mixing, and make setting up quick and easy.
Real-world engineers from our R&D group created these presets to reduce setup time to allow more time for minor adjustments and testing.
A world of applications to work in any location
A wide range of applications help users respond as the situation demands, including the DM3 Editor for completing setups well in advance of the performance, the DM3 StageMix for remote control of the DM3 from the stage, and MonitorMix, which allows each performer to adjust their own monitors.
Professional-quality live streaming has never been easier.
Live streaming has unique technical demands that are difficult to achieve without additional external equipment and the space it requires.
The DM3 comes with a USB connection that lets you go live in an instant, along with a condensed suite of features like matrices, flexible patching, and factory presets that specifically aim to make live streaming seamless and hassle-free. The compact design also makes the DM3 ideal for multi-stage setups.
A complete suite of streaming features
The DM3 condenses necessary broadcast functions into a compact housing. The units are equipped with numerous I/O and USB ports, making it possible to input audio into the DM3 and output the mixed audio directly to a computer running broadcast software. With stereo and matrix audio routing, audio routing provides a high degree of freedom and allows audio to be mixed both on-site and for broadcast separately.
Flexible patching configuration
The DM3's inputs and outputs allow for easy patching. These consoles handle minor system modifications with the flexibility to fit any location, which is extremely useful for teams that split roles.
Complete recording and editing functions in a compact body
An extremely portable tool with comprehensive specifications for music production, the DM3 covers all the basics for live recording and home editing. The DAW Remote function allows a variety of devices to be used to control mixing and recording from anywhere in a live venue or recording environment, and then you can take it home for easy editing. Performance recordings can be stored directly to a USB flash drive, on a PC connected via USB to the HOST, or with separate Dante-compatible devices (DM3 only), and can be edited with the included Cubase AI or a DAW suite of your choice.
