The Yamaha YVS-120 Venova Alto is a wind instrument made of sturdy ABS plastic. It is played with an alto saxophone mouthpiece and has a saxophone-like sound. The fingering is similar to that of a flute, making it a great introduction to the world of reed instruments.

Using Yamaha's patented Branched Pipe technology, the Yamaha YVS-120 Venova Alto has a particularly lightweight and compact design and can be easily taken anywhere. The tonal range extends over two octaves (F33-F57). Included in the scope of delivery are a Yamaha 4C alto saxophone mouthpiece with plastic reed, a cleaning cloth, and a case with carrying strap.
