The YCL-255 combines cutting-edge manufacturing expertise with the high-end features of Yamaha clarinets. The result is an exceptional entry-level instrument that reproduces a warm, resonant timbre/tone remarkably similar to that of a woodwind clarinet. It features an ABS resin body with a matte finish that mimics a woodwind clarinet and an adjustable thumb rest with a fingerboard strap ring that allows even those with smaller hands to easily hold the instrument.

Bell: It is light because it does not have a metal ring.

The thumb rest is adjustable: The thumb rest can be set at a height that is comfortable for each performer, reducing discomfort and thumb fatigue.

It can be adjusted to make fingering more comfortable for players with smaller hands and can be readjusted if necessary as the performer's hands grow and become more proficient. The thumb rest also includes a ring that can be convenient for attaching the strap when necessary.
